What programs does UFI offer?
Year 1 (Fall 2026): FAA Part 107 Certification Track and the Mission-Ready UxS Challenge, a team-based competition with internship placement as a prize. Future programs include an agricultural technology competition track and K-12 STEM programming.
Who can participate?
Year 1 programs are open to college students (any major) and emerging professionals entering the UxS field. No prior experience is required.
What does it cost to participate?
Nothing. UFI funds certification fees, exam costs, equipment, and competition participation through corporate partnerships.
When do programs launch?
Fall 2026. Applications will open once university partnerships are confirmed, expected Q2 2026. Contact us to be added to the interest list.
How do companies partner with UFI?
UFI offers four funding tiers:
Founding Partner ($500K+)
Program Partner ($100K-$499K)
Supporting Partner ($25K-$99K)
Community Partner (Up to $25K)

How is UFI different from other STEM programs?
UFI focuses on employment outcomes, not enrollment.
Programs are structured around certifications companies require and competitions companies judge. We cover air, ground, maritime, and subsurface domains, and we work directly with industry to align training with current hiring needs.
